WonMo Foundation 7 day workshop Testimonials: Connect to God's Heart

Although this workshop was quite short in length, I felt that despite the limited time, I could really reconnect to God’s Heart and take this opportunity to learn more in detail about God’s Providence and my role in it. A point that really stood out from the lectures was the question, 'do you have a faith that you know in your head, or feel in your heart?'  This question made me reflect deeply on my personal faith, my personal relationship with God, and my motivations in taking part in the daily schedules of this workshop. It made me stop and question, which is something I realized I really needed for where I currently am at. Cheongpyeong is a truly special place because I feel that when I am here, I can most clearly reflect and most clearly communicate with out Heavenly Parent. As I reflected on this question, I realized that I wasn’t making the most out of my experience until I could feel deep in my heart a strong conviction and a firm belief. After this realization, I took the time to clearly write down and reflect on my intentions, purposes and motivations and proclaim them in front of Heavenly Parent. By doing this, I felt I could start to find a deeper meaning and significance in the lectures, Chanyang and hoondokhae.

A second activity that really made a big impact on me was participating in group counseling. During this time, I could learn so much more about the families and pasts of the other Wonmo students, and realize how profoundly shaped we each are by our family relationships. It was a time when I felt so much gratitude toward my own family and also could come to better understand the hearts and personalities of the other students.
