All of us at the Heavenly Africa Branch Training Center would like to offer our sincere gratitude to our Heavenly Parent and the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind for their love, grace and blessing upon us. We are truly grateful for having them during this crucial time of history.
The Heavenly Africa Branch Training Center was recently inaugurated in Zambia along with the installation of Rev. Jin-hwa Chung as its president, and a two-day Hyojeong CheonBo Zambia event was held in Lusaka, Zambia under the direct dominion of True Parents. Following that the Heavenly Africa Training Center began a 21-day leadership workshop for all Zambian youth missionaries, with more than 30 participants attending the opening ceremony. Despite many challenges, all the necessary preparations for the workshop were completed under the guidance of Rev. Jin-hwa Chung (President of the Heavenly Africa Branch Training Center).
The workshop started on January 23, 2019 and finished on February 12, and included a diverse range of programs for the young missionaries. The workshop was a good strong beginning for the year, benefitting all of the Zambian Church. The participants enjoyed President Chung’s lectures on maintaining a life of faith, and Lecturer Eugene’s Divine Principle lectures.
Every morning began with morning devotions. All the participants gathered in the prayer room, along with other members from the local area, for a 21-minute prayer and hoondokhae. Each day ended with Divine Principle lecture practice and a closing prayer. In addition to the lectures, the workshop participants offered jeongseong (devotional acts) by cleaning the training center and built a spirit of harmony with sport activities; soccer and Tong Il Moo Do. The lecture practice sessions gave the missionaries the opportunities to become accustomed to giving effective ppt presentations.
On Sunday, January 27, President Chung had a talk with local 2nd gen. members. They were inspired by his talk, and he invited them to gather again for a meeting on Thursday, January 31. A total of with 14 2nd gen. members, along with three Jacob Children attended the meeting. President Chung spoke about “Who are You?” He emphasized that the 2nd gen. should live an exemplary life.
He first talked about his own life as a member of the 2nd gen., and about other 2nd gen. members in Korea and other countries. Speaking from his experience as a Korean, and as one of the oldest 2nd gen. members in the church, he shared his views on what the 2nd gen. must do. He shared about our True Parents’ dream, and how the 2nd gen. should be able to understand the ideal of God and True Parents. Everyone was inspired to offer glory and honor to our Heavenly Parent and True Parents.
